Latest Project: Granny Square Lap Blanket

My latest project is coming along. I started this about 2 weeks ago and have worked on it a little everyday. I really like the colors I chose for this one. I used Caron One Pound yarn 100% acrylic medium 4; colors used are nutmeg, off white, and lace. I also used light sage from Red Heart.

It's my second granny square blanket ever. I hope to have it done soon so I can donate it to a very deserving cancer patient.

Almost finished. I still need to complete a few rows.

I decided to join the granny squares with the nutmeg.

Close up of the joined squares.

  1. This is a wonderful thing you and your Mom are doing. Next time you come to Fla. would you teach me how to crochet? We have several friends who have cancer and my older sister Mary passed away in 2003 because of cancer. My Uncle , Cynthia's stepdad passed away in 1980 from cancer also. Cancer is no respecter of persons. I hate it soooooooo badly.
